Deepening of translation, grammartical, stylistic and historical-literary analysis; comprehension of the communicative dynamics carried out by representative texts of the main literary genres. Confirmation of the ability to read a text metrically.
Contents of the course: Cicero’s Pro Caelio: twenty years after.
Oral test, partly carried out directly on the Latin text.
NOTE: The knowledge of Latin morphology, grammar and lexicon is expected and evaluated during the test. Those who don’t have preliminary knowledge should attend the Latin Tutor course and/or take the relevant test (getting through involves threef credits) before they begin to attend the courses of L-FIL-LET/04 (Latin literature, Latin grammar, History of Italian language). The mark-mark-recording of Latin translation must be done before the one concerning section L-FIL-LET/04, which allows to achieve 24 credits in the section. Such written test is preliminary to the above-mentioned test and doesn’t provide credits.
