Learning outcomes

to learn some of the methods and instruments of the historic-religious research, to develop the ability to analyse sources and historiography detecting the complexity of the historical problems.

Syllabus

Contents of the course: Verona’s church in the Scaligera domination age: bishops, clergy and believers. Relationships between the thirtheen-century dominations and the religious institutions, investigation of the different figures like the bishop, the monk and the church clergy. The course also investigates the answer and reception of religious messages.
