Investigation of the issues pertaining the advanced part of the course, in particular as far as it concerns the period following the XVIth century.
Contents of the course: The Venetian Modern art and Europe.
The course investigates the resumption of the ancient Classicism: this variance of the Renaissance was found in architecture, painting, and sculpture. The lecture analyses the reasons because which the Venetian Renaissance ( Titian, Lotto, Palma Vecchio, Veronese, Codussi, Palladio) had such a huge success in various parts of Europe. The course will pass the XVIth century and, for example, it will refer to Rembrandt and Rubens.
