Learning outcomes

The course aims at improving the historical and structural comprehension of ancient Greece’s litertive institutions through direct reading and philological deepening of the texts.

Syllabus

Contents of the course:
(1) Patterns of the tragedy: structure of the drama in the Vth century and ways of representing;
(2) Sofocle, Oedipus in Colono.
