providing competences leading to the comprehension of the ties linking man and geographical space and of the factors characterizing the regional differentiation in ancient Italy.

Syllabus

Contents of the course: the course will focus on the representation of the land in the ancient world through the analysis in particular of Greek and Roman texts, along with the study of the economical and geographical factors which lead to the differentiation of areas such as Venetia and Histria in the Roman period.
