Learning outcomes

knowledge of the main topics of Roman history in the Severian age

Syllabus

Previous studies: knowledge of Roman history and Latin language at basical level.

Subject of the course: The Severian Emperors: monuments and cities of the Empire.

Texts to be read:
1) Herodianus, History of the Roman Empire after Marcus Aurelius (an edition with commentary)

Didactic method: normal lessons will be held, the discussed passages and images will be given (also in translation) to the students. The texts will appear in the University web site. Students who are unable to attend the lessons will use the mp3 records which will be at disposal in the informatic area of the Faculty.
