The course is aimed to introduce students to the study of English grammar according to Ronald Langacker’s cognitive grammar.
SYLLABUS
Module I (18 hours)
The course is intended to introduce the basic principles of cognitive grammar as explained in Ronald Langacker’s work. Starting from the general theoretical assumption that language is a cognitive phenomenon influenced by social interaction, the course will focus on the study of morphology, syntax and discourse.
