Learning outcomes

Overview of relations between the root and its derivatives in various Indo-European languages. Particular attention will be given to individual aspects of the nominal formation of its boundaries in the formation of the word in classical languages and to the so called Caland-system.

Oral exam at the end of the course and presentation of a paper during the course; for working students a written assignment on a topic chosen with the help of the lecturer.
