e) gastronomy.

The bibliography corresponding to the theme units is the following:
a) Gianfranco Folena, Volgarizzare e tradurre, Torino, Einaudi, 1991;
b) Marilyn Nicoud, Les régimes de santé au Moyen Âge, Roma, École Française de Rome, 2007, pp. 1-34;

e) Anna Martellotti, I ricettari di Federico II. Dal Meridionale al Liber de coquina, Firenze, Olschki, 2005.

The course takes place in the first semester.
Since the lectures are often interactive, attendance is strongly recommended. Active participation guarantees the guided exercise of analysis techniques and the collective construction of the contents of the course.
However, some educational materials will be uploaded on Moodle for non-attending students.
Non-attending students will add to the bibliography:
Maurizio Dardano, I linguaggi scientifici, in Luca Serianni, Pietro Trifone, Storia della lingua italiana. II. Scritto e parlato, Torino, Einaudi, 1994, pp. 497-551.

Assessment methods and criteria

The test will take place in two stages at the end of the course, in an interview with the lecturer on the topics studied in class.
The assessment takes into account the methodological and terminological maturity achieved by the student, i.e. their ability to apply the range of concepts learnt independently, both in the presentation and in the analysis of the texts analysed in class (especially Cibaldone).
