Learning outcomes

The course aims to make students develop a greater familiarity in the approach and study of decorative arts and related artistic techniques.

Syllabus

The first part of the course will be discussed some of the main critical and theoretical contributions to the
decorative arts, with particular attention to the XIX century. Afterward, will be exhibited a general overview
of some of the main artistic techniques (metal, glass, fabrics, and ceramics). Finally, the course will focus on
the figures of Galileo Chini and his ceramic productions.
