Curriculum

Giuseppe Chiecchi is Full Professor in Italian Literature (L-FIL-LET/10) at the University of Verona. He has devoted himself to the critical interpretation of Dante’s De vulgari eloquentia and Commedia, but he has also studied Boccaccio’s masterpiece, the Decameron, and minor works, such as the Filocolo, the Ninfale fiesolano e the Elegia di madonna Fiammetta. He has been particularly interested in the figure of Vincenzio Borghini and in his unpublished works; in particular, he thoroughly analysed Borghini’s Annotazioni sopra il Decameron.
