Curriculum

My main interests are focused on Old French Lyric, Medieval travel accounts, manuscripts and literature of the Latin East, Catalan literature, Medieval translation and reception of Latin classical authors (particularly Boethius and Ovid). More recently I have started studying Anglo-Norman texts and literature. In my research work I give special attention to: manuscript studies, analysis of linguistic features, text edition, as well as the history of translations from Classical authors into Romance languages.
I am currently Principal Investigator of a two-year Project named ‘SiME - Sinica Mediaevalia Europaea (1200-1582). China in Medieval European Sources: study and census’. The Project has been funded by the University of Verona (‘Ricerca di Base di Ateneo’).
I am member of the editorial board and  editorial coordinator of the online journal «Medioevi. Rivista di letterature e culture medievali» (www.medioevi.it).
  • Department Research Board: member
  • Collegial Body of the PhD Program in ‘Filologia, Letteratura e Scienze dello Spettacolo’: member
  • Communications and Community Engagement Committee, Department of Cultures and Civilizations: member
