Previous studies: it is advisable for students to know Greek and Roman Art.
Subject of the course: Constantine the Great. Aspects of the art of the age of Constantine, with particular attention to the architecture and sculpture (Arch of Constantine in Rome, reliefs, portraiture). Some lessons will be valuable for the study of materials and use the current recovered in excavations of the Roman period in northern Italy.During the course can also be organized by the teacher during visits to museums and collections in Italy or abroad.
For a better understanding of the techniques of archaeological excavation is proposed participation in an excavation under the direction of the teacher during the summer break
