Curriculum

Konstantina Tsakona is a Phd Student in the Greek Philology and Literature of the MSCA "From Antiquity to Community" project at the University of Verona. Her research project is The Hidden Greek: Greek paratexts and obliterated works in the palimpsests of the Biblioteca Capitolare in Verona (1) and deals with lost texts in the erased layers of palimpsests and paratexts in the late antique manuscripts housed at the Biblioteca Capitolare in Verona. She holds an MA in Mondes Médievaux Interdisciplinaires from the Department of Historical Sciences at the University of Strasbourg. Her main research interests include the research of Byzantine manuscripts as well as the potential that the digital humanities can offer in the analysis of Greek handwriting, such as automatic handwritten text recognition. 


Konstantina Tsakona è dottoranda in Filologia e Letteratura Greca del progetto MSCA "From Antiquity to Community" dell'Università di Verona. Il suo progetto di ricerca è Il greco nascosto: Greek paratexts and obliterated works in the palimpsests of the Biblioteca Capitolare in Verona (1) e si occupa di testi perduti negli strati cancellati dei palinsesti e dei paratesti dei manoscritti tardoantichi conservati presso la Biblioteca Capitolare di Verona. Ha conseguito un Master in Mondes Médievaux Interdisciplinaires presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Storiche dell'Università di Strasburgo. I suoi principali interessi di ricerca includono la ricerca sui manoscritti bizantini e le potenzialità che le digital humanities possono offrire nell'analisi della scrittura greca, come il riconoscimento automatico del testo scritto a mano.
