Community Engagement

The university’s third mission – social involvement and services for the community

The Department of Culture and Civilisation’s third mission initiatives cover a wide and diverse range of activities, from archaeological excavations to organising exhibitions and cultural events. The Department is also active in disseminating knowledge on historical, artistic and linguistic topics through conferences and other such events.

Forming relationships with institutions, associations and economic and cultural entities to develop and grow together sustainably is one of the areas the Department dedicates a great amount of attention to; many of its research and teaching activities are also linked to this goal.

Public Engagement Events

The term "public engagement" refers to the set of non-profit activities with educational, cultural, and social development value, carried out for the benefit of audiences other than students, the scientific community, or businesses.
