Curriculum

Dario Donetti è titolare della cattedra di Storia dell'architettura come Ricercatore senior dell'Università di Verona. Ha conseguito la laurea magistrale all'Università degli Studi di Firenze nel 2008 e il diploma di perfezionamento (PhD) alla Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa nel 2016. In seguito, è stato ricercatore associato presso l'Italian Academy di Columbia University (2017), borsista e assistente al Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz (2013-2019), e Collegiate Assistant Professor della University of Chicago (2019-2022). È tuttora attivo presso le ultime due istituzioni come Assoziierter Wissenschaftler e Visiting Assitant Professor, rispettivamente.

L'obiettivo principale della sua ricerca è ricostruire i rapporti di interdipendenza tra disegno e produzione architettonica, con particolare attenzione a questioni di autorialità e materia. Tra i prodotti dei suoi studi si contano il catalogo della mostra Giuliano da Sangallo: Disegni degli Uffizi (Giunti: 2017, con Sabine Frommel e Marzia Faietti) e la monografia Francesco da Sangallo e l'identità dell'architettura toscana (Officina Libraria: 2020). Inoltre, a curato i volumi Architecture and Dystopia (Actar: 2019), Building with Paper: The Materiality of Renaissance Architectural Drawings (Brepols: 2021, con Cara Rachele), e Viaggio nel Nord. Studi di cultura visiva in onore di Alessandro Nova (CentroDi: 2022, con Hana Gründler e Mandy Richter).
