Learning outcomes

Acquaintance of the basic methodological instruments in order to deeply understand a work of art and relate it to the historical context.

Syllabus

Contents of the course: Rome in August’s time : architecture, sculpture, painting, mosaics and minor arts.

Attention! Students in the 4years-degree at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities must attend course A and B. Students in the 3years-degree can make up from one to six F credits with each cultural initiative (seminars, guided visits, excavations..) concerning the course Archaeology and history of Greek and Roman art
