Learning outcomes

Acquaintance of the basic elements of the Assyrian-Babylonian language and of the main works concerning the Sumerian-Acadic literary tradition.

Syllabus

Contents of the course: Elements of the Assyrian-Babylonian language; the Sumerian-Acadic literary tradition (general recurrence, transmission dynamic, circulation, canonization); Nergal and Ereshkigal’s texts.
