Learning outcomes

Improvement of different skills: translation, grammartical-stylistic-historical-literary analysis of the main texts of different literary genres; acquaintance of modern methodologies in order to investigate ancient texts.

Contents of the course: The numerous prose in Cicero’s theory and in the example given by the Pro Caelio.

Oral test, partly carried out directly on the Latin text.

NOTE: The mark-mark-recording of Latin translation must be done before the one concerning section L-FIL-LET/04, which allows to achieve 24 credits in the section. Such written test is preliminary to the above-mentioned test and doesn’t provide credits.
