Obiettivi formativi
The course aims at
(a) illustrating
- the main steps of the history of news-writing, from its early beginning to the present time of unmediated journalism,
- the features of the language of journalism;
(b) developing the ability to analyze and produce a journalistic piece in its different forms, be it a written text (print / on-line version) or a broadcast piece.

Moreover, in order to give the exam, non-attenders have to send the teacher 3 news reports, 3 features, 3 commentaries and 3 TV packages one week before the exam. The assessment of such texts will be integral part of the exam.
The exam for non-attenders will be structured as follows:
1) Written questions on the above-mentioned bibliographic references;
2) Writing of a journalistic piece;
3) Analysis of a journalistic piece and identification of its textual type.

Prova finale
La prova finale per il conseguimento del titolo consiste nella discussione di un elaborato scritto, indicativamente di circa 80-120 cartelle, su un argomento concordato con il relatore.
La decisione di voto avviene senza la presenza dello studente o di estranei. La commissione dispone di centodieci punti; il voto minimo per il superamento dell’esame è di 66/110.
Per il punteggio attribuito alla tesi finale ed eventuali punteggi aggiuntivi è necessario fare riferimento al regolamento del corso di studi relativo all'a.a.di immatricolazione.
Quando il candidato abbia ottenuto il massimo dei voti, può essere concessa la lode purché con decisione unanime.
L’elaborato scritto, oggetto della prova finale, può essere redatto in lingua diversa dall’Italiano, previa approvazione del relatore e del Collegio Didattico. La discussione deve comunque essere condotta in Italiano.
Lo studente può ritirarsi dall’esame finale fino al momento di essere congedato dal Presidente della Commissione per dare corso alla decisione di voto.
