Texts to be read: 1) Svetonius, Lives of the Twelve Caesars
2) the passages that will be studied during the course
3) A.Mastrocinque, Storia Romana, Bologna, Patron, 2006, or A. Momigliano, Manuale di storia romana, a cura di A. Mastrocinque, Torino, UTET, 2011.
An historical atlas is recommended.
Didactic method: normal lessons will be held, the discussed passages will be given (also in translation) to the students. Students who are unable to attend the lessons will find them in mp3 format, texts, and images on the e-learning platform of the University.
