Lesson timetable

Learning outcomes

a) Knowledge of the main aspects of (Italian and European) early modern history, end 15th-mid 19th centuries;
b) awareness of the complex cultural roots of modern Europe.

Syllabus

Problems of early modern life on a sample of representative issues (from politics to the economy, society, religion and culture). Analysis of a selection of relevant sources.

Assessment methods and criteria

general knowledge (textbook) will be tested via written answers to open questions; the monographic option (point 2) through an oral interview
