The Department of Culture and Civilisation promotes and coordinates theoretical and applied academic research in the areas of history, art history, archaeology, geography, literature and comparative literature, Italian philology, linguistics, language theories and performance arts.
The Department’s mission
The Department of Culture and Civilisation encourages cooperation and exchanges for both professors and students between other Italian and foreign universities. It disseminates research results while respecting each staff member’s autonomy and freedom in teaching and research. Academic staff are also involved in national and international research projects.
