Curriculum

Andrea Rodighiero's main research interests are focused on ancient Greek Literature, Language and Philology, with a special consideration for tragedy, Sophoclean poetry and its style, the Epic tradition, and the Greek lyric genres; in his research work he also gives special attention to the Reception Studies and to the Classical tradition, as for instance (among other topics) the history of translations from Classical literature, and modern and contemporary adaptations of Classical themes and texts. He has published several monographs, as well as commentaries and translations of ancient Greek drama, and he won the "Monselice Prize" with his version of Sophocles' "Edipo a Colono". He has co-edited books on Greek chorus, on mythology, and on translation. Andrea Rodighiero published as main Editor and Author the three volumes of a Companion to Ancient Greek Literature:
