The educational goal is to develop the capacity to learn and correctly use the epistemological and methodological grounding of historian’s profession in order to use them in school’s didactics. The final aims are to know and compare different didactical methodologies and to learn the tools of the didactic of history through the use and the construction of didactical laboratories.
The requirements indicated to be admitted at the Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Storia e Geografia dell’Europa; basic knowledge of ancient, medieval, modern and contemporary history.
The course will be divided into three thematic parts, followed by a seminarial part. The first part will be devoted to the nature, problems and characters of the historical knowledge.
The second part will focus on the problems related to didactics of history in the primary and secondary schools and the reform processes during the 20th century.
The third part will examine different forms of didactics and the students will have to develop their own laboratory of didactics of history.
In the last part of the course the laboratories will be exposed and discussed in the classroom.
Frontal lectures, seminars, presentation and discussion of the laboratories of didactics of history.
Evaluation of the laboratories and oral examination. The study of the book written by G. Greco, A. Mirizio, Una palestra per Clio. Insegnare ad insegnare la Storia nella Scuola Secondaria, Torino, UTET Università, 2008 will be necessary for those who will not attend the lessons.
