Learning outcomes

Acquaintance of Venetia’s territorial settlement in the Ancient Age and its reconstructing methods (highlight: historical-diachronical investigation of Roman age in relation to precedents, results and heritage in the current world).

Syllabus

Contents of the course: The natural and anthropical environment of the Roman Venetia through literary, epigraphic and archaeological sources; Romanization; Roman streets; centurion countryside and rural settling; topographical and monumental organization of the major urbane centres, especially Verona.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral test.
