Contents of the course:
Part A: CHRONOLOGY OF ANTONIO SALIERI’S LIFE AND WORKS:
- Opera kinds in Italy and in Vienna throughout Salieri’s period. Salieri’s début in Vienna and in Italy
CHRONOLOGY OF HIS LIFE AND WORKS:
- The relationship with Gluck, the Reform of musical work and the début in Paris. The connection between text and music in Salieri; Mozart’s revolution.
ITINERARY OF A DISCOVERY:

Part B: Cultural and artistic development of the “Aria” in the musical theatre between 1700 and 1800.
