Learning outcomes

The course aims at investigating the historical processes which have developed between the birth and the falling of the Western Roman Empire (476 AD) and its main public institutions.

Syllabus

Contents of the course: Introduction to Roman history with particular attention to chronology, main reforms, philosophical doctrines, criticism of the sources and documentation.
