This module aims at enhancing students' competences on the following subjects: Hagiographic writings and rewritings: the "Passio Virgili" and its remakings.
At the end of the course, students should: 1) to historically contextualise the hagiographic texts on Virgilio of Trento; 2) to translate and interpret the given hagiographic texts.
Prerequisites: This course is addressed to students of FILOLOGIA E CRITICA LETTERARIA" and to students of "ARTE" (INTERATENEO VERONA-TRENTO).
Contents: Hagiographic writings and rewritings: the "Passio Virgili" and its remakings. Following a general contextualisation of the texts, we will analyse the connecticut between the original 'Passio' and its rewritings.
Teaching Methods: Lectures with students' active participation.
Learning activities for the final exam: students should master the course contents, study all the texts in the bibliography, and be able to argue clearly and effectively.
