The course aims at investigatine a specific subject of the (i) course, concentrating on one of the main characters of the pictorial mannerist change in Veneto: Paolo Veronese.
Paolo Veronese and the illustration of the Venetian myth. The lessons are dedicated to one of the protagonists of the Italian figurative culture in the Reinassance: the course will analyse some of his most significant works, starting from his education in Verona to the main Venetian season, with reference to religious and State buyers.
Oral test concerning the main events of the artist’s life in order to analyse one or more of his works from a critical point of view. The works of art will be around twenty: knowledge of the actual ubication, the represented subject, precedents of the collections and/or news pertaining the buyers is compulsory.
