Learning outcomes
study of the development of the Italian art heritage from the 15th to the early 19th century. The course is intended to take into consideration art works as related to particular historical and cultural contexts, authors’ beliefs and deep meanings.
Contents of the course: Venetian art and Europe in the late Renaissance period. The course aims at analysing the impact of Venetian architecture, painting and sculpture in the late Renaissance period on the diffusion of the European art language. Study of artists such as Palladio, Tintoretto, Bassano, Tiziano.
