Valerio Pisaniello is a linguist and orientalist. He is specialized in Indo-European studies and in linguistics and philology of the ancient Anatolian languages. He is currently working as a researcher on the ERC Starting Grant Project PALaC, Horizon 2020, “Pre-Classical Anatolian Languages in Contact” (P.I. Prof. Federico Giusfredi), and his research activities are mostly focused on language contact between Anatolian and Semitic languages in the 1st millennium BCE.
