Research Fellow in the PRIN 2022 project "Plurilingualism in Hittite Anatolia" directed by Professor Alfredo Rizza, in which I work on translations from Hattic and Hurrian to Hittite and in translation studies within the multilingual scribal environment of the Hittite courts. My research interests mainly concern the dynamics of linguistic and socio-cultural contact in the ancient world, with a particular focus on the role played by writing and scripts.
I graduated from the University of Siena in 2019 and completed my Ph.D. at the University of Pisa under the supervision of Professor Marco Bettalli, working on a thesis titled Migas Laos. Aspendos, Perge, and Sillyon: Pamphylia in the Classical and Hellenistic Ages.
Among my research interests are the transmission and evolution of writing systems in the ancient world, dynamics of linguistic and socio-cultural contact, plurilingualism in Anatolia from the Bronze Age to the Hellenistic Age, and Greek and Anatolian funerary epigraphy of the 1st millennium BCE.
