The cultic image of Diana Nemorensis was different from that on the denarius of Acculeius Larisculus. Many sacred groves in Italy and other areas sheltered animals from predators, and this is the basic reason why sacred groves of Diana were used for political meeting of Latin peoples. Violence was banned by the power of the gods, and especially Diana.
