More than a five-year period has passed since when publishing history studious have tested themselves against books paratextual dimension analysis and the non papery supports development has made essential to transpose the reflections on the e-texts too. In this essay the attention has turned on contents which have always occupied a syntactical link role between the text and the lector. The invention of the printing has definitively ratified the use of lists for consultation of texts with the object of recovering information, and the index have become data that cannot be disregarded to use, also when books are being “dematerialifed”. The importance that the index hold in the use of multimedia is such as they have almost taken up an autonomy so that they could be defined as paratexts. Othervise, do the ipertexts make some links look paratextual as an addition to the main text?
