Short description of contents:

A large number of editions XVI century are charched in the Republic of Slovakia Library lots of which have been printed in Italy. Begenning from paper list of sixteen-century owned by the Diocesan Library of Nitra, other research have been carried out into othen bibliographies and lists on line in order to try to quantify by numbering the owned resources and to weigh up its typology. The analysis of the editions have allowed to establish that the Humanism and the Renaissance have crossed the Alps which never have been a cultural border. An important role in spreading af humanist culture has been performed by Venice; many testiomonies, epistolary and historiographical too, remain about that. Printing art has helped to strengthen and create new relations not just of commercial kind.
