Curriculum

Simonetta Ponchia si occupa di storia siro-mesopotamica, con particolare riferimento al I millennio a.C. e all’età neo-assira. Ha svolto ricerche nell’ambito della storiografia, del diritto e delle strutture amministrative del Vicino Oriente antico; tra i suoi interessi si annoverano i testi e la tradizione letteraria sumero-accadica; collabora a progetti volti a studiare l’eredità intellettuale del mondo vicino orientale antico nelle tradizioni successive, così come di sondare il sistema di relazioni tra il mondo asiatico e quello mediterraneo.
